Piny
[Portugal]
HIP. A Pussy Point of View
© João Peixoto
This solo is almost a manifest. Raw, full of questions. It is a combat, a speech, a parade, a cabaret and a sacred space. There is no narrative, only a body of references like a disorganized dream on a restless night. It's about the hip. From the meat, the mass, the container. It's a contained scream. All with no defined geography, but that of the body itself. The feminine and masculine of being a woman in a social and political space of power and vulnerability, claiming freedom, fun, pleasure and pain.
